A Shared Narrative
C.L.E.A.R. (Community Liaison Engagement Advocacy Representative) was born from trauma, resilience, and the desire to create meaningful change.
In January 2019, a remarkable young Black queen asked a simple but powerful question: How do we answer “that question"?
She and many other middle school students were searching for ways
to respond to the negativity invading what should have been one of the
most transformative and flourishing seasons of their lives. Instead, they
were confronting adult-sized issues involving politics, race, gender, identity,
and social division.
At that moment, it became clear that our community in West Virginia—
an accessible extension of the DMV region—needed a voice. It needed advocacy.
It needed leadership committed to becoming part of the solution rather than
contributing to the problem.
From that need, C.L.E.A.R. was established.
Our organization ventured on to ensure student success with the creation of the
Black Teacher Association and Black Student Association of Jefferson County
Schools. With the courageous leadership of community leaders such as
Tanya Dallas-Frazier, these two organizations helped redefine and strengthen student -teacher and student-community relationships, producing lasting positive change. These initiatives empowered students, encouraged dialogue, and created spaces where young people could feel seen, heard, and supported. Ultimately, C.L.E.A.R. came to understand a greater need for ALL people in this region and across the nation. A method to collectively heal the traumatic outcomes of economic, cultural, racial, and social discomfort was engineered.
This work also challenged Dr. Archie to continue his own educational and professional
journey. He returned to school to deepen his understanding of trauma, recovery, re-entry support systems, and the broader social issues impacting individuals, families, and communities. Through this work, Dr. Archie has become a trusted community authority and advocate for healing, restoration, and collaborative growth.
At its core, C.L.E.A.R. believes that every person has one clear choice when it comes to life, readiness, growth, and personal success: reformation.
When you need guidance, encouragement, or support, Dr. Archie and his staff are committed to providing the compassionate push necessary to help individuals move toward healthier and more productive paths.
We look forward to walking alongside you on that journey.
Dr. Archie, Ed.D.
